Sending performance to the cloud
Each time I finish a practice session the program sends the results to the cloud. I am wondering if this uses data each time. If it is using data, can you turn this option off to conserve data? Thank you

Yes, it uses a very small amount of data, about 2kb. If no internet is detected when you launch playground, then it will not do this. Right now that's the only way to stop it from posting your scores.
If you stop it from posting, then Playground will not be able to track your progress
