Re: It's not the Key, but the Chord!?

Hi Draco.. I think your right... if it sounds ok.... then it is!

The more I play, the more I find notes that don't work and notes that do and.. for me... this is the best way of progressing!

Many thanks again... Hope you are feeling ok!

Re: It's not the Key, but the Chord!?

Morning and thanks for taking the time to give me this information! My music theory is rather limited to say the least... but much better than my music reading! :) The Major and Minor seem to be the basics..that everything is built on.. so getting use to using them first! I was looking a one piece i...

3 Weeks and I'm Done!

I started out on 23rd April and was hoping that I would be here for some while, but 3 weeks have passed and so has my time here. This was overall a good starting point, an introduction to the ideas behind music and playing the piano. For me it was like a Wiki experience... just gives you enough to w...

It's not the Key, but the Chord!?

I'm working away on my next lesson and as usual, I'm first practicing the chord progression that goes with that lesson... I like to be comfortable with moving between the chords. My sequence for practicing the progression, is as follows... chord 1, then chord 2.. chord 1 & 2 repeated.. then I progre...

My Favourite Lesson So Far!

The last ten sessions were tedious.. more about music theory and using the same tunes over and over...hitting the notes at the right time and playing the game but, to be honest.. I just watched the video and worked on the left hand chords. I felt like the Marathon runner, hitting the wall! How...

If you don't have to move.. Don't!

I'm enjoying myself with Intermediate 32... looking at how inversions are used to make life easiser when it comes to moving from one chord to another. David say, 'If you don't have to move... Don't .. Stay Put!' Now in the lesson and exercise, the progresion of chords are, A, Bm, F"m and D... repeat...

I think I've got somebody else's fingers too! (4 Lawboy)

This is in responce to Lawboy's Post about, Finger Exercises and dexterity ! I know what you mean... how can it be so difficult when you only have four fingers and a big thumb!? I'm ok with the thumb and first finger, then all hell breaks out! :x I know which finger should go down.. it says...
