Re: What are levels
The levels are a personal thing. You can't compare you levels with anyone else. They were originally intended to spur motivation to progress and compete on a "leader board" but that didn't work out. What the levels are is a fairly arbitrary points tracking based on how much time you spend practicing...

Re: When to progress to next exercise?
How much time do you want to spend on a given lesson? Take long enough and you probably can do 100%. That is my goal, but sometimes it really takes a while. So remember also that the program will consider the steps of the lesson completed even with some errors (just not too many). You don't have to ...

Re: Rookiee #37 Counting Practice Last Part
Getting both hands to work together is perhaps the most difficult thing about playing piano, at least at first. Phil Anderson recommends playing each hand to perfection first, before trying them together. Then start slowly when putting them together. Count out loud and play the notes without hitting...

Re: A Wink and A Smile
I'm not to advanced yet, so I don't have anything sage to say specifically about that. One thought does occur to me though. We all set goals of reaching some mythical standard. But this software is for learning piano, no reaching perfection. While I do strive for 100%, I have a few times let it go a...

Re: Frustrated Rookie
Don't expect to be sight reading any time during Rookie. You're still building up practice just seeing the notes at this point. SJunior22 has good advice. I did a roll your own, do-it-yourself kind of thing, I would practice writing notes on hand drawn Grand Staffs and just learning one note to reco...

Re: How to download lesson
It should be automatic.
You click on the lesson. It pops up saying it is downloading. Then when it is done, it tells you to click again to enter the lesson. At least that's how it works for me. You might email support@playgroundsessions.com and ask them to help.

PlaygroundSessions.com has a pretty good FAQ in the Support section. For instance:

Primary topics people post: How to use Playground Sessions Progress you're making in the program Issues you are having using the app - though very often you'll be advised to contact support@playgroundsessions.com because they can do things with your log files that we "ordinary" users can't. Re: No Android support??
There was an Android version of the app early on. Sadly, the Android platform is so scattered it was impossible to support, some Android devices failed to run at all, others were so slow as to be unusable, and only a few actually worked well enough (not that any were actually great). Android has com...

Re: Fingering adherence
My advice is if this is a boot camp lesson, try to use the suggested fingering at least the first few plays. They are also teaching you how to "flow" through the notes with the least tension. But if the suggested fingering doesn't fit your hand, after trying it, switch to what you hands can do. Just...
