Re: More Specific Progress Reporting

How about a Yellow check mark on the lesson in the bootcamp and yellow fill in of the lesson scoreboard if the lesson on reaches 100% at "slow" tempo, and Turn it green when 100% and Full Tempo is reached.

Re: advanced #11: two voices, timing in a measure

Something you can try is play the "Demo" mode for the lesson. Click on the pictures of the hands at the top (each one) and turn the piano volume up in the app. Then you can press play and her the app play the piece. Don't play any notes of your own and it won't try to score you. Once you can hear th...

Re: old Yamaha p-80

On the back (well, the side actually) of your P-80 you have two MIDI ports. You can use something like the Roland UM-ONE mk2 or the Yamaha UX16 USB to MIDI adapters. What kind of computer are you going to connect to? A reasonably modern PC or Mac will recognize the UM-ONE out of the box and get you ...

Re: inhibit the intro paragraph when playing is stopped

It might be useful for them to include a Dismiss button for the instructions. I personally like to be able to read it more than once. I have a bad memory and it takes a few tries to get it to sink in. Once dismissed you'd want the option to call it back up, too. Just in case you don't remember somet...

Re: P115 Yamaha - keys sticking

One thought I have is if "dual" voice is selected, every note will see multiple hits. But reading the description, this isn't likely - if the incorrect notes are coming up before Simon presses any keys at all. Second thought, then, is maybe the MIDI cable or the iOS adapter are not working correctly...

Re: missing star(s)

I'm not going to tell you it is a bug - but it is something that the folks at the support team probably can help with. It might be something in that song. One thought though - was the performance while you were connected with the internet? Much of the system relies on access to the cloud. Anyway, th...

Re: Another headphone Q, Casio LK-280 plus IPad

There are two hands at the top of the music score in the tool bar. Click both hands and press play - don't play any notes and just listen (you'll have to have the Playground Sessions Piano voice volume up to a "normal" level) and the program will "demo" the song or lesson for you.

Re: Have questions because the website seems to be a little vague about how this works.

So the out-of-the-box plan would be work the boot camps in order, first lesson to last and Rookie to Intermediate to Advanced, with a few songs of the appropriate skill level between the "tours." This set of courses are really meant to get you learning and enjoying playing songs, so getting a few un...

Re: The ability to import our own arangments.

I have "Home Concert XTreme" that will do this. But you have to format them just right. And it isn't free. I don't think I can get used to dots falling from the top of the screen for Synthesia - but it sure looks cool to watch.

Re: IPad Connection

The "Device Not Compatible" is probably for the USB to MIDI adapter. The Tyros 4 should have a USB to HOST port on it. I can't test to see if the Tyros 4 is iOS compatible (not having a Tyros 4 handy and all), but you can probably find a printer cable (USB Type A to Type B - Rectangle shape on one e...
