Re: Finger notation bug?

That is a good point. One thing to remember, as David Sides says in an earlier lesson, is that Finger Numberings are suggestions. I personally think they're generally pretty good suggestions, and somethings they are as much to teach about the pivots as they are to be convenient to play. I think if y...

Learn to Read Sheet Music

THIS IS A BIG ISSUE People are feeling let down that the program isn't "Teaching SIght Reading" Something to keep in mind when creating a course on this is that you have folks that have been and still are one-on-one Piano Teachers. They must have things that they teach their one-on-one students abo...

Re: Struggling with some fingering positions

I know what you mean. I don't think my fingers are all that thick, but they do press three keys at once sometimes when I try to play between the sharps/flats. Here is a quick shot of my playing our "Summer Challenge" for which I chose "Take Me Home, Country Roads" - my thumb and little finger are "a...

Re: Thinking of taking the plunge but have question first.

Each difficulty is its own song purchase. If you can read music and think you are up to it go for the Advanced songs. I think many do this. It may take more time and effort but they get to play the full song when done. Each difficulty is a full production effort for the arrangers and Playground Sess...

Re: iPad screeching, popping then no sound

The only suggestion I have - but I'm not tech support, so you might ask them at support@playgroundsessions.com - is to make sure the PLayground Sessions sample rate is set to 44.1KHz. I had strange problems with audio - not the screeching and popping, but odd off pitch moments. It had gotten set to ...

Re: there's something about music that we all love

I was lucky, growing up. We always had musical instruments in the house. A piano and a hand full of guitars, many harmonicas and they all got played. There were also musical toys, too, such as the toy xylophones. One thing that I've known but seldom thought to say outloud is that music is meant to b...

Re: Infiltrating from the Facebook Playground Sessions Group

Just as a thought - you can click on a person's user name and find their posts. For instance, on the second to last page of my posts, right in the middle is a link to my introduction to the forums. Not that you'd want to read that or anything.

Re: Infiltrating from the Facebook Playground Sessions Group

Well, the initials in my signature are a big clue. That and I think I actually say somewhere in my personal introduction way back. You'd just have to read the entire forum... Muwhahahahaha... *cough* *cough* *gasp*. Ah, those evil laughs get harder every year.

Re: Add daily scales practice

I'll agree that the Scales practice should be "pre-unlocked." Chords might fit that too, perhaps. These two are fairly basic to actually understanding the music and how it flows.
