PGS is moving in a positive direction!

Phill has been working HARD on Youtube and Facebook uploading video lessons. I've been complaining to the devs that those lessons are absent from the app. This month PGS has finally got around to making Phill's video lessons available in app through the song store. I've been waiting a long time to s...

Re: Apple Airpods Pro

Forget about bluetooth audio... It doesn't matter about the marketing, Beats Studio Wireless, AirPods Pro Max, whatever... The sound will always be lossy and there will always be latency. You need to get yourself a pair of reference headphones. I would recommend SHP 9500. Very comfortable, inexpensi...

Re: Bootcamp music theory way too complicated

If you're a rookie player, the only theory points you should be concerned about are

- Rhythm and metre symbols
- notes and key signatures
- fingering and hand position (not necessarily theory but important for sight reading)

Re: Is there a Harry Connick Jr Piano Course?

Phil is Mr PGS and yet hardly any of his videos are featured in the app, with exception to scales and chords courses, which is a shame. I can understand that the record labels like to stifle creativity with their copyrights claims, making it hard for other people to share their musical IP, which is ...

Re: Sight Reading hopeful for PGS

People have different goals and are at different stages in their journey of playing piano. Me personally i want to become a better sight reader. Even after taking PGS all the way through my sight reading ability was dreadful. I do get joy out of just figuring stuff out but it makes things easier wh...

Re: Sight Reading hopeful for PGS

Here's my hot take on said music learning app: 1. It has hundreds, possibly thousands of exercises from well known publishers and artists 2. It gets used by institutions training professional musicians 3. It has endorsements by well respected musicians So what's not to like? It looks like it was des...

Re: Sight Reading hopeful for PGS

In my opinion this app demonstrated in the linked video is terrible. I used it for all of 15 minutes before I quit in disgust. I can't understand how institutions and high level performers endorse this nonsense. PGS may be a little behind in terms of having as formalised a syllabus, but the experien...

Re: Tools to Set Goals for Practice

something as simple as a starred lesson/song feature (e.g. current songs/lessons that you're working through or you've achieved some mastery on it and you can add it to a starred setlist)
