Re: Hello from Charleston SC

Hi Jean! Welcome to the forum! I've had nothing but fun and frustration on the Playground Sessions rookie course. As with anything you want to learn in life, there will be struggles. However, if you keep your nose to the grindstone, it will pay off. One of the things that I love about Playground Ses...

Re: Accidentals

Good to know. I finished the lesson btw. I should've watched the first video over and over to find the proper finger positions. What can I say, I'm new to this.

Re: Accidentals

I'm just starting the Rookie Accidentals lesson and I noticed that there are no finger position numbers on the staff anymore. Is this intentional? I looked around, but I didn't see an option to turn them back on. I also noticed that there are finger position numbers in upcoming lessons.

Re: Hello from Emeryville, San Francisco Bay Area

I'm with you on learning the notes. I learned how to play guitar by using tablature, which in hindsight wasn't the best decision. One of the reasons I wanted to learn piano is that I've always wanted to learn how to read music and then apply that knowledge to piano and other instruments. I still fin...

Re: Hello from Emeryville, San Francisco Bay Area

Hi Amos! I turn 46 this month and I'm also just learning to play piano. I play guitar and bass, but I've always wanted to learn piano. I'm currently at Rookie Bootcamp Level 48 and having a blast. Sometimes I feel like bashing my head against the wall, but when I complete each lesson, it's such a re...
