Re: [HELP] Should I memorize songs?
What helped me was to go slow. Use the tempo settings in the top bar to slow down. Or if one particular passage is giving you trouble, use the loop feature and select that one part of the song, and play it over and over. Then speed up when you're ready.

Rookie bootcamp lesson 64 part 5 (Scarborough Fair)
This is in regards to the hand positions change from position 3 back to 2 in measures 14 and 15. If I look at the finger numbers, it looks as if it is expecting me to shift my whole hand from thumb being on G, down to being on C, and pinky from being on D down to being on A in one move. I have seen ...

Re: Rookie Bootcamp Practice Lessons
Once you get your looping set up (not sure about how to do it on the ipad), but on the computer you just click and drag through the measures you want t loop, and they should turn blue. One thing I will suggest that took me a long time to figure out (probably because I'm slow :) ) is to not stop coun...

Re: Counting with Rookie Bootcamp lesson "Clocks"
I went back and did this in slow tempo, and I think I see what you are saying now. I'm guessing I should be doing like the below?--

1 - and 2 - and - 3 and 4 and

Re: Counting with Rookie Bootcamp lesson "Clocks"
Hey thanks for the reply. So in this case, the measure is (not sure how this will come across in text, it's Rookie lesson 54, part 6, measure 9+).. quarter - half - quarter tie whole The count in says "1, 2, 3, 4" which makes me think I should be counting that way, 1, 2 before the dotted bar, 3, 4 a...

Counting with Rookie Bootcamp lesson "Clocks"
Hello! I understand the basics behind counting. However, I'm having a hard time putting that into practice for this lesson. It is in 4/2, and that makes sense until you throw in the quarter notes along with half notes in the main melody. I know how the song sounds and I can play it, but I can't seem...

Re: Finger numbers vs notes on the staff
I did not get this same experience. I have the numbers still, and am on rookie lesson 61. I have the option to turn them off, or displaye letters, or off completely, but was also unsure when I should attempt to start doing this? I got the feeling it would drive me to drop the finger numbering at som...
