I don't have an iPad, thus I'm not participating in that part of the beta, sorry.

Re: Future of PGS App?

Hi rickm Fellow software engineer here. I'd like to answer you with a bit of a tongue in cheek: if the PGS app is that easy, and it's easy to base a business on it (with positive returns, no red numbers ends on, because then you can close business), why don't you do it? Update for the folks here: th...

Re: Being able to play from sheet music

Hi Tim Yes and no. My own abilities, after a year of learning with PGS are somewhat mixed. Sightreading is somewhat, which I have to learn a lot still, but for that I have to go and look for other alternatives (https://sightreading.training has been suggested by some). But, I can analyse a sheet of ...

Re: Printing Songs

What i'd like to figure out is how to extend a song to merge two or more .ogg files and their respective scores. That way I can make one long playlist. There is one file in each PGS-song dir, which is an LZipped XML. If you unzip that, adjust it, and rezip it, PGS won't notice  I managed to p...

Re: Song Credit Reset

Hi all While I understand your frustration about the subpar communication, I don't think this is worth to be upset over or think about cancellation and being ripped off. In the pricing of PGS, you can think of 1 song credit = ca. $2. If you don't use them in the current month, you won't lose anythin...

Re: Time to complete Rookie Bootcamp lessons

Hi and welcome :) Realistically you shouldn't do more than one lesson (which has multiple sub-lessons!) on one day on average. You will have lessons, for which you will need multiple hour-long sessions streched through multiple days. As far as I can tell based on the forums, I'm a fortunate and quic...

Re: Classical music - original versions

Yeah, that fixed number is 40. If you 3star all 40 songs, you get 8 extra song credits, if you 3star all of those, you get 1 extra. That's already 49 songs. There are roughly 180 songs available for free for (lifetime) members. If you aim for free stuff, just start to complete those, that'll yield a...

Re: Total Noob Question Here

Hi NomadicSurfer I understand where you are coming from, as I had the exact same question at the beginning. The answer is: practice. With a lot of practice, and with some practice sprinkled on top of it. And I'm not kidding: muscle memory of human beings seems sometimes to be magic. You'll just "fee...

Re: More advanced bootcamp lessons please

Hi Anne I'd suggest looking for songs with difficulty "Advanced", which you would like to play. With an annual membership, you should get 5 free songs each month (and for each 5 songs finished with 3 stars, I think that's 95% or more, you get an additional free song). What you mentioned: playing the...

Re: Am I confused?

Huh, now I hear what you mean. Yes, the tied whole notes are cut off too early in the playback, you are correct.
