Re: Bootcamp, Courses, Songs Workflow

Hey Fatts. I started PGS about 9 months ago and your breakdown on time spent is quite close to the path I have used. About 1/3 on Bootcamp, 1/3 on Lessons and 1/3 on songs. From time to time I will take a break from Lessons and Bootcamp and focus more on Songs to build up my repertoire. Happy Playin...

Re: Question on songs per month

My experience is that they are added on the anniversary date of when you joined. (eg: 17th). As soon as I see the five have been added to my credits, I know to start looking for and making my selections for the month. Even if I don't see anything in the Rookie choices, I will sometimes pick one from...

Re: Quiet Practicing

Not all pianos will accept and play the audio input from an iPad or computer. I know my Roland FP-30 doesn't. I found this page, which explains how to configure a mixer, quite useful. Works great for headphones, or external monitors. I am also able to shoot videos with the sound coming directly from...

Re: dotted whole notes question

In 3/2 time there are three beats per measure and the half-note counts as one beat. A whole note (double a half-note) counts for two beats. The dotted whole note is used In order to fill up the measure; the dot adds an extra 50% for the third beat in the measure. In your example the note is held for...

Re: Hello All! A Little Setup Help?

The Roland that sw1tch73ch refers to would be used if your keyboard has the two round MIDI DIN ports. In looking at a few web pages for the EZ 200, it looks like there is a (mostly) square USB port on the keyboard, so all you need is a USB A cable. This is the same cable you would use for a printer....

Re: Roland Go Keys & iPad via Bluetooth

Yes, you should be able to use Bluetooth to connect to your iPad to run PGS. You will likely need to download and install Roland Piano Partner 2 onto your iPad first. But, if it is anything like my FP-30, I find it much easier to run with the cable instead. To use Bluetooth to connect, these are the...
