Re: Finger numbers vs notes on the staff

The time is how long you actually took playing an exercise to completion. If you aborted part way through, or looped the thing, that time doesn't add into the time spent. Basically you have to have that little pop up at the end of an exercise that shows your performance time and score. I don't remem...

Re: When working through the Rookie Bootcamp, when are the courses supposed to unlock?

The Social Media Challenge course is where the Monthly (or nearly monthly) Facebook challenge music is held. It is only held for the duration of that challenge, so it might be empty at times, or have new content for the current challenge. It is currently empty (12/05/2019) but will probably have the...

Re: If you use a GPS to travel do you really know where you are?

You should consider trying to play away from the moving bar every practice session. It won't work right away. I like to play through the lesson without hitting play. You have to manually scroll the music at times, but the idea isn't to play beautifully, but just to play at all. Once you can do that ...

Re: Counting in.... when to start

The Stop-Spam effects new users hardest. Because you need a few posts before your posts auto approve. So you should hear a count in. And a Metronome. At least by default. What kind of system are you using? Windows, Mac or iOS Tablet? On iOS you need to make sure the sample rate for the app is set to...

Re: How to play with both hands VIDEO wont play

Is this on an iPad? You have to make sure the sound is set to use 44.1 kHz. The iPad often flops over to 48 kHz and the videos and audio from the accompaniment often sound wrong or just don't play.

You won't have to start over. Playground sessions saves that info to the cloud and will show you what you have done. You also don't have to download the lessons you've already completed unless you want to work them again.

Re: Rookie Lessons have changed

Can someone please explain what has happened. This is something I've experience a couple times. But I didn't have that Horror moment - I recognized the guys and gals at Playground Sessions had come up with more content. It is worth going through the lessons: partly as a refresher, partly as a new p...

Re: Intermediate Tour - Lesson #16 (8th Notes and Rests)

Something to consider is the Chords Course that is an adjunct to the boot camps. I haven't gotten there yet so I can't comment specifically on the content, but I would imagine the chords are all there, including their inversions. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the courses, too.
