Re: WINTER PROJECT - Build upright or baby grand shell

Hi Jim - thanks a bunch for that link, it was very useful. I did a ton of research yesterday and decided to go with the baby grand style (for the living room). But after I clicked that link I decided to build both. The upright shell first in my office then the baby grand long term. For the upright, ...

WINTER PROJECT - Build upright or baby grand shell

Hello All, Can't provide a pic of my PGS setup because I don't have one. Just a Yamaha P-200 (88 keys) on a X-style stand and a drafting table in flat position behind it. The table holds the computer, monitor and mouse. It works, but is clumsy and a huge waste of space. I came up with an idea (and a...

Re: Adjusting Song Speed for Final Lesson

Hello cablack, welcome to the club. I am not a big user of the song store but I think I know what is happening here. I took a quick look at the few songs I got from the song store and they look a lot like bootcamp lessons. The difference is the second to last part is a practice of the entire song wi...

Re: Allow us to add Annotations to Sheet Music

Hello Bob, welcome to the club. Yes, it would be fantastic to put digital "Post-it" notes on the sheet music of the app but that functionality is not there presently. I believe it has already been discussed and requested as a new feature but I am not sure. Since the "Feature Request" forum has been ...

Re: Hi From an Old Newbie

Hi Jim, welcome to the club. Don't worry about level or session points, they are from the past and not really used any more. Your measure of progress should be how many lessons you complete at 100%. Do a search of the word "practice" in these forums for tons of advice on completing the program. Also...

Re: Video performance - Prelude in C

Thanks FP - no bad feelings at all. :) Happy your video is as good as it is, it only motivates me to work harder. Also thanks for all the additional information - yes, I use PGS under WINE, on Linux (Fedora 32). It works fine at the moment, but with this rewrite of the desktop version of PGS looming...

Re: learning scales

Yes, there is a scales course (under the "Courses" tab). All major and minor scales. It does not unlock though(you will not see it) until after you have reached a certain point in the rookie bootcamp. Same for the Hanon exercises. There is no announcement that the course has unlocked. Just check for...

Re: New to Playground Sessions

Hello PianoMan57, An hour of practice once a day is more than enough practice. Just keep in mind that piano is learned slowly, and if you have a lot of time to practice, redo some lessons over and over again so that you can get 100% at them almost at will. If you rush through the program the music wi...
