Re: Default grand piano sound
You could also try setting the patch on your piano to the 00 patch (or 01 if that is the first one). I think that will also tell Playground to use the first patch.

Re: controllers
I considered buying an SL88. But I already have a nice digital piano, so I ended up not. I bet it works amazing with Playground.

Re: YAMAHA DGX-640 does not play the accompaniments from Playground through its speakers
The DGX series do not yet have USB-Audio interface capability and the DGX-640 doesn't have an Aux Audio Input. The only reasonable option is to push the iPad audio to external speakers. My Yamaha MX-49 can take USB-Audio - but it doesn't have speakers, so all sounds would still need to go to externa...

Re: Metronome & Piano sound
It might be your hardware or operating system giving you trouble with the metronome. I haven't noticed any troubles with it keeping time unless my computer is doing too many things at the same time. I haven't noticed the guitar tone issue - but then I have my digital piano overriding the Playground ...

Re: Curriculum for child learner?
I would say Jump-In and see. The software is especially suited toward learning at your own pace, practicing a piece that may take you more than a week to accomplish, or doing 5 lessons in one day. Some lessons are easier than others and are just needed to provide knowledge or practice before working...

Re: Wait Function
Yup! If I could play with an "At My Own Pace" that would progress the music as I played the correct notes, so I could do it without having to manually advance the page, it would simplify the practice. Also, I wouldn't have to start at the ridiculously slow tempos I use to begin (often half of the "s...

Re: Practice Section
Hello Becrux! Remember: You are in charge of your lessons. Only you can decide if you need to practice until you get 100%. If you can reach 90%, you are doing good. If you can reach 95% you are doing really well. If you can reach 98% you are doing great. And if you can do 100%, well, you are doing a...

Re: Progress Report! Sw1tch73ch
Today seems like a good day for a Progress Update... I am nearing the end of the Rookie Bootcamp: Working on Lesson 76 - Habits (Stay High) by Tove Lo. I hit two milestones during this lesson. One: I reached Level 43. My last update was at Level 40, so not that big a change. But still, the levels ar...

Your best bet will probably be to email support@playgroundsessions.com.
I think some folks were able to tweak their latency settings to get the system working well, or checking that the MIDI driver is the latest for their setup.
