Re: Is headphones practise possible ?
I use a mixer sometimes to combine the two sounds. My current piano has an AUX IN port that I plug a cable to connect my tablet to my piano so those sounds come through the piano. But if you don't have an AUX in, there are relatively inexpensive ways to join the two signals together to play in one h...

Re: How to hit chord notes at once
I still struggle with this. I try to move my whole hand, not just the fingers, to play the keys. Put the fingers in position and "lock" them. Then move your whole arm down to play them. That is probably how you're doing your right hand.

Re: Keyboard sound not being recorded correctly
That's really unusual! Which keyboard, computer/operating system and interface and cables are you using? Something isn't playing well with the rest. The better technical resource is to email the support folks at support@playgroundsessions.com. The emails are the entry into their ticketing system as ...

Re: Upcoming Recital
The recital is totally new. You will want to check the front page of the web site semi frequently (I go there first before hitting the forum) to see when the next social media event pops up. You should also get an email about it on the email you have listed in your account for playground sessions (t...

Re: "Dont Stop Believing" - Journey LH D#?
I tried to run a Melodyne analysis on the Journey recording of the song. It does show the C# D# G# sequence a lot, especially early. But because I don't have access to the original multitracks, I can only run the stereo track through. With the Drums and all the other sounds mixed in. So the "score" ...

Re: "Dont Stop Believing" - Journey LH D#?
Which level of the song? Which measure is it?
I did the Rookie Version which is in C Major scale and had no sharps or flats.

Re: Beginners question
There are hands next to the word demo at the top. Click them to hear that hand (or both). If you don't try to play along, just listening to that part, the program won't score you (it will mark the notes red, but that play won't be counted if you didn't play notes). You can play that until you hear t...

Re: When to turn off fingering annotation
Right after playing a lesson with the numbers on, play it again with them off. If you have trouble with them off, spend more time with them off. They aren't supposed to be how to play the song, but where to put the hands. Once you know where the hands go, turn them off and practice until you can pla...

Re: Tips for both hands wanted
There is a both hands course that should open up at some point. The trick is just to practice playing with both hands together; there aren't any short cuts. That said, knowing each hand's piece very well does help. There is a saying that you don't practice something until you get it right, you pract...

Re: How far along
Asuming you gett 100% before moving on to the next lesson ( Basic trainin) how far along should you be with 12 hours of lessons / That's always a very difficult question to answer. I finished rookie boot camp after a couple hundred hours of "credited" practice - which does include some courses and ...
