Re: Zoom Notation Macbook Pro

Hi D! While you wait for the official answer I'll offer the solution I eventually came up with. I was originally going to use a Lenovo Yoga laptop. It has a high resolution 13.3 inch screen. But like you found, the notation on the screen was very tiny. I ended up with a Mac Mini sized windows comput...

Re: Jericho by Marshall Styler

All music is copyrighted; the question is the licensing of the music. Creative Commons music would be fair game - pretty much anything else will require negotiation with either the artist or the publisher. But New Age music would be an excellent addition to their library here. This is a lovely song.

Re: Learning piano to accompany singing

Hello again, Mach :) (Assuming you read these in the order I wrote these messages.) I hope they create the Accompanist Course they discussed a while back. Here is one way to think of transposing: Scales are the basis of must music -or Keys might be a better way to think of them. You have 7 "active" ...

Re: Songs for accompaniment to singing

Hi, Mach. They [the Playground Sessions folks] discussed somewhere that there might be some lessons coming specifically for that. My first thought is that you learn to play accompaniment a lot like you learn "Piano Solo" type songs like we are learning. The difference in playback is you don't play t...

Re: So what's next?

Regarding the lack of replies here in the forums - That is frustrating for us all. They used to be more active, but had a serious loss in their development team and maybe that has caused the devs to refocus on actual development and drop out from the forums. The team member that was lost was also on...

Re: New Starter

Welcome, y'all! I've been using Playground Sessions for a while. I'm just about ready to complete the Rookie Bootcamp. My one tip: Use ALL the features of the program! So if you are on a computer (PC or Mac), you can adjust the tempo in fine increments (like 1 BPM at a time). I use this a lot, slowi...

Re: can't get started

I don't use a Mac, so I'll have to keep this generic to any computer. The way Playground does the accompaniment is with audio files. They don't usually mix with the audio with the music instrument unless your keyboard has Audio over USB. Some folks have resorted to fancy Headphone setups that allow ...
