Hi Mike, Just a friendly suggestion that may help you progress. Burning through so quickly is not really the best way to go. If you just run through the lesson until you hit %100 once or twice, chances are you may not retain what you learned. The key is to continue to work on it until you can repeat...

If you hit the highest and lowest keys on your keyboard at the same time, you can start and stop a lesson.

The simple answer is, for as long as you feel you need them. But you want to get working on your sight-reading ASAP. A good place for you to start would be to print out some sheet music and go bar by bar identifying and marking each note. There is also a program called presto-keys that is very helpf...

I read in another post that you recommend at least 49 keys, but perhaps the songs should state what size keyboard they require. A couple of the advanced songs I bought (1000 years and River flows in you) are out of range of a 49 key. I haven't started River runs through you yet, so I will wait until...
