Re: Future of PGS App?

That's no EOL for AIR, only that Adobe sold AIR and somebody else will take care of this (undoubtly dying) platform. Flash vulnerabilities are mostly related to web-based applications, and not local/AIR. According to various communications, a closed alpha is already ongoing for the new platform, wit...

Re: Video performance - Prelude in C

Thanks for the kind words :) Although, I don't think, it's posted yet, the third video is still sitting on 1 view (the first two are in the 70-80 range). Will see, how it fares :D Based on the latest mail, they will finish the piece on the intermediate/advanced track and will advice the rookies to c...

Re: Video performance - Prelude in C

Wow, this is getting really difficult towards the end, it's a lot of transitions

My experiment is pretty sloppy this time around (from 2:40 in the video), but I didn't have as much time to spend on it this week as usual :( Hope it's still somewhat enjoyable!

Re: Can I restart a lesson before it ends?

Doubling on what sw1tch73ch said: I've once read somewhere, that there is a big difference in practicing a piece and practicing playing (actually the text was about sight reading, when you don't pre-analyse and pre-learn the music but play it the first time you see it). The difference being: when yo...

Re: WINTER PROJECT - Build upright or baby grand shell

The Yamaha GB1K ( https://au.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/pianos/grand_pianos/gb1k/index.html#product-tabs ) is even smaller - although just by a hair - than the Steinway S ;) But yeah, a grand piano without the guts is just an oddly shaped, hollow table to eat on. Have fun with the pr...

Or if you don't want to hit the keyboard but stay on the piano: hit the lowest and highest key simultaneously for stop/start.

Re: Any tips for getting non-dominant hand to play the right keys?

Practice. Practice. And maybe a bit more practice, afterwards a bit more practice does not hurt. Apart from that: patience. A lot. When the courses open for reading the sheet music, or the one octave scales: do them. Slowly. With patience. Afterwards you could have a look at the Hanon exercises. Wha...

Re: Anyone else have a slight echo from piano when connected to pc?

Glad to hear that that solved your problem. Small hint: this way the "preview" feature won't work as expected. If you want to hear the preplay (clicking on the left/right hands in the menubar and hitting play, so that you can hear how the piece should be played), you won't hear anything, because the...

Re: Anyone else have a slight echo from piano when connected to pc?

My assumption is that you hear the sound via Playground Sessions and via the OS MIDI player simultaneously. Have a look at Playground Sessions menubar on top -> Edit -> User Settings -> Volume and put the "Piano" onto 0%. Do you still hear the piano with this setting? If no, then my assumption was i...

Let me ask a reverse questions (without the intent of being obnoxious): why would you want to upgrade to a beta version of MacOS? I mean, I upgrade as late as possible, even for stable versions, because everything just tends to break nowadays...
