Re: A Written Manual for Playground Newbies?

Okedokey. Thanks for the discussion peeps. I've gotten a bit used to it (other technical issues notwithstanding). Is it just me, though, but it seems like when I click the looping function (play over and over), this issue is less noticeable? Also, oftentimes now I just play from the screen without p...

Advice on Basic Dedicated Desktop Computer?

Hi there, I'm a Mac user but need to buy a dedicated machine to go with my Casio Privia + Playground Sessions, and not a Mac because $$$$! Can anyone recommend a machine that's not wildly expensive that might work for that, so JUST for my music learning. I'm totally ignorant about anything other tha...

Re: iPad screeching, popping then no sound

Thanks both. I tried the sample rate change. Mine was actually set on 8000 and when I bumped it up, the speed on the Playground end was real bumpy...fast then slow, so I went back to 1600, but then I got a pop (no screeching this time -- it almost sounds like mic feedback) and the sound cut out. (Wi...

iPad screeching, popping then no sound

Anyone having iPad sound probs? I am using lightning cable to connect my iPad pro with Casio Privia and it connects OK, I open a lesson, then as soon as I play a note on the piano, click, pop and ghastly electronic screeching sound (I can't really describe it) and no more sound. I've tried every pos...

Re: Practice Schedules

I use Anki for a language I'm learning, and have been using it for about thee years. Excuse dumb Q, but how do you use it for sight reading? to you have a visual of a measure on one side and the name of the note on the other??

Re: A Written Manual for Playground Newbies?

Another quickie... sooo, in the practice mode, the spacing on the score changes, some measures are stretched out more than others. I have a lot of trouble with this and I wonder if there's a way of keeping the measure spacing on the actual score the same?

Re: A Written Manual for Playground Newbies?

Thanks for the link, that's useful. I will save my questions as they come up and maybe post a bunch here in case you can help, and tks for the kind offer. One is about the points. And maybe I missed this in the various intro things, but what are they for? Do you get to spend them on songs or are the...

Re: Kia ora from New Zealand

Thanks both for the advice about songs. I'm close to being able to play my first rookie song all the way through, and will be sure to return to even after I make 100%. These kinds of tips from PG veterans are super useful. Like, I'm wondering if I should alternate having numbers, notes or nothing on...

A Written Manual for Playground Newbies?

Here's perhaps a dumb or redundant question, but I'd really love to find ... somewhere ... a basic written manual or something that explains Playground for Dummies. I watched the intro videos on YouTube, OK, but I have questions that keep coming up and it would be cool to be able to "search" for the...
