There are MIDI to USB (HDMI wouldn't work for Playground Sessions). I use the Roland UM-ONE mk2. it works pretty well. One note to add: Many courses "unlock" after you get through specific boot camp lessons. You should look at any courses you already have unlocked to see if you feel ready for them, but to get more courses unlocked, play the boot camp lessons.

I've seen other comments about the music lessons here sounding bland or soulless, likely due to the lack of having the original (or close to original) music notation available. That is a concern, especially if we're paying $2 to $5 for most songs going forward (after your song credits are used up)....

I'm still working on Joy To the World. I had real trouble playing at full speed and spent a lot of time getting up to speed. I just played the final step of the last lesson of Joy To the World - at the slow tempo. Now I just have to get up to speed. One BPM at a time if necessary! I'm only two songs...

Playground still doesn't have a specific date for the new version of the app, but definitely in 2021 according to a recent video on YouTube. I don't know if the Graded Play at your Own Pace will be in the app. I hope it will!

I'm gonna echo SJunior22 here. The best way to really learn something is to involve as many of your senses as possible. Writing the notes on a paper copy of the Grand Staff, before each lesson, will help ingrain those notes into your mind. Say them outloud as you write them to add your audible memor...

You can use the Web version of the store to search for songs, by title or by artist. The app version of the store needs to catch up with the times - or just offer a portal to the web site in app. I'd upload a screenshot, but the forum tells me my file format to upload the image is invalid. So no pic...
