Re: Font Size

I have only just joined, and was extremely disappointed at what appears to be a lack of response from Playground Sessions on this issue. That being said I have managed to find a somewhat clunky solution - at least in my case. The forums here have evolved mostly into community support. If you need d...

Re: Future of PGS App?

The app isn't a web app so Adobe not supporting Air probably won't stop the existing app from working. They are in the near end stages of testing the replacement version of the app. I would hope they didn't use Air for it as it has been known for a while that Adobe set the End-of-Life for this year....

Re: Can I restart a lesson before it ends?

Two thougths, Pavel and FlatPanda both gave excellent answers, but... (lol, there always is a but somewhere) 1) You do want to get used to playing through errors. 2) When you do want to stop and start over, take a moment to "regroup" - take a deep breath and calm or relax yourself. Get over the erro...

Re: Rookie question on memory of notes on staff

I am a senior, senior novice, have been doing Bootcamp lessons for 6 months. I am slowly reading the notes, not using the numbers or letters, and will try using the "landmark" method. Am I ridiculously slow at learning to play? I am on about lesson 50, using both hands and reading the notes but sti...

Re: Starting in the Middle

Just wondering if there's any way you can start a practice session in the middle of a piece. I'm finding that if I'm having trouble with a phrase at the end of a song or exercise, I have to play it all the way through to get to it. Ideas? Thanks On the Windows and Mac OS computers, you can. You fin...

Re: Confused about hand positioning

No fixed hand positon -mmmm well that is not very helpful for me. Anyone got any tips.. When we first learn on the piano, many lessons start in the C Major hand position. This is the position where you could play a C Major Chord - the right hand thumb is on C, the middle finger over E and the pinky...

Re: No more blurry texts on Win10 with high resolution screens!

I'm using a Microsoft Surface Pro. I haven't had trouble with Blurriness. Unless I forget my glasses ;-)

There might be a Windows setting your need to use for making the text clear.

Re: Money saving tip for ipad Pro connection for Playground

The iPad Pro is the only one with USB-C. For the other iPads you do need the Connection kit. But it would be good for the FAQ to note that the USB-C to USB Type B will do.

Re: Hello from London

There are aspects of Playground Session that are geared around 10 fingers per person. But that said, there is nothing in the program that requires that you play a piece perfectly before advancing. It does reward high level performances more, but the key is to learn how to play music and what fingers...

Re: Sight Reading hopeful for PGS

But it has to be repeated enough for you to learn it. which is why i suggested making daily exercises and the test like the SASR to do it everyday enough so you can learn and test can tell you if you are improving or not. i have improved over the last 16 days using it. while its still not great im ...
