Re: Possible to mute sound from keyboard, but keep Auto-play keyboard sound on?

It might be something you can do from the keyboard. Some allow you to set the keyboard to not play locally generated audio from playing the piano keys but to send it to a remote device, like your computer or tablet, but to still play incoming midi notes. On my Yamaha YPG-635 (same as a DGX-630), whi...

Re: Meaning of Level and session points?

I think that Playground Sessions is well on the way to being a Complete Piano Course , regardless how you picture that. It isn't there yet as noted in previous notes in this thread. But one thing to consider even once Playground Sessions is complete is that there is something about one-on-one in-per...

Question on Windows Versions

My instance of Playground Sessions is 2.4.314 as displayed in the Help section. When I check for updates it tells me 2.2.2 is available. Wouldn't 2.4.314 be a newer version?

Re: Graded Play At Your Own Pace

This is excellent news. I realize features aren't snap your fingers and you're done so I'll do my best to patiently wait for the "wait mode" feature. :D

Re: Relax..Frustration is your enemy

I would be fine if it were only the boot camp lessons, as they build on one another as you go. The idea I have is that I would like to quickly access the n/n challenge piece of each lesson and run through the last several, depending on where I'm at in the bootcamp, to refresh my muscle memory and re...

Re: Music Education

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm commenting anyway! :) What about adding a kind of exchange where music teachers and students can connect as a community feature of Playground Sessions. There will likely be people that learn better with direct one on one lessons. Learning online is great, but...

Re: Relax..Frustration is your enemy

Regarding the practice practice practice mantra - we need a practice room where all the pieces we've completed are linked so we don't have to drop back to bootcamp to fire up the next lesson just to get to the final page of a lesson to play that again. Call it "Play It Again, Sam" or whatever you li...

Graded Play At Your Own Pace

One feature I would find helpful on learning a song is an "At Your Own Pace" play through. The software would still identify when the correct notes were played or if wrong keys were hit. The software should patiently wait for all the correct notes to be played or the user cancels the play through, m...

Re: Rookie Tour: Lesson 8 Note Duration 74 BPM

Was the counting of beats and which notes covered in a boot camp lesson? A lot of folks seem to have trouble with the 4/2 timing. The simple explanation is the top number signifies how many beats in a measure and the bottom number which kind of note gets the beat. A 2 on the bottom is the half note....
