Re: Sight Reading hopeful for PGS
I have not tried that sight reading assessment tool. I do have to wonder though, what the instruction they are providing, or if it is only a way to score your practice with some sort of number. PGS gives you a percent correct score, which isn't a standardized assessment, but it is a way to judge how...

Re: Confused about hand positioning
An idea I like to recommend is use the finger numbers as a study tool. Yes, play with them on for a little bit, to help you learn how to put your hands over the keys, but look at the numbers before playing and figure out how the notes are numbered, put your fingers over those notes on the keyboard a...

Re: Questions about notation
Good question. I would think that since 1 and 2 measures are musically in the same place, you'd play the 2 without the 1 the next time through. Also, that is where the fine is. But this isn't something I've thought about much before.

Re: Dashboard not showing on Ipad
Dashboard is one of the things that should be in the iPad upgrade. I don't know what their timeline for the udpate is, but they have said their goal is parity between tablet and desktop (that includes looping and zooming, I think).

Re: Yamaha Disklavier Mark IV background music
That depends entirely on your piano. The background music is traditional audio files, so you'll need an AUX Input and connect the headphone out of the iPad to the Piano that way.

Re: Interactive Keyboard for Rookie-Moderate and up
I like SJunior22's answer. A second thought is that the lessons aren't a race and there is no best pace to work through them. Work on each one more than you might think you need too - but not all in a row. Go back to previous lessons and play through them so that they are fresh and somewhat challeng...

Re: Regular piano
-- Does Playground Sessions provide the sheet music such that I can play what I learn on my acoustic piano after I learn it on the digital keyboard? The Songs do come with sheet music you can print - and if your computer supports it, even printing to PDF. -- Would it be better to get an 88 key digi...

Ooops - forgot to post the Features and Content FAQ into the earlier post:
https://support.playgroundsessions.com/ ... d-Features
Have a look at that and see if it doesn't get you going with the app.

Re: G'day from OZ
The original iPad version was put into production before it was really done. Then they had their main developer pass away, so it kind of got orphaned. They got new developers and are working on a from the ground up rewrite. I don't know when it will be available, though they do promise to bring the ...

Re: Video Chat Networking for PGS(?)
The closest I've seen is the regular Playground Sessions YouTube events. The video is one way (from Phil Anderson, or someone else from PGS), but the chat is lively. I don't know of anything official, otherwise. I'm sure someone could create a Zoom or other multiple guest video call and call it PGS ...
