Re: Tips for both hands wanted

The trick to getting the hands working independently, and still together (they do their independent things at the right times relative to each other) is to practice really slowly when you first combine your hands for each of the lessons. It is the fastest way to playing together at full tempo.

Re: Reading notes vs practicing other courses or the bootcamp - priority and timeline?

There is no prescribed method. You do what is best for you. My thoughts, though far from Expert, are: 1- Start with Boot Camp, as you have already done. 2- When courses open, have a look at them, if they look interesting, take a break from the Boot Camp and work on the Course. They open, generally, ...

Re: New to This, and have a basic question

I don't know if you can add files to the Clavinova pianos. Some of the lower end pianos have 5 slots for your songs. BUT - they nearly all allow you to plug in a USB drive and play the MIDI files from there. The flash drive goes into the "Rectangle" Type-A jack on the piano labeled "To Device". The ...

Re: FINGERING VS LETTER OF NOTE NOTATIONS

when i sight read little easy pieces i notice i rarely look at the note names itself. i just see the note and know what key i need to press (its like automation). i really don´t think about the names ABCDEFG most time except i got stuck. Re: Extremely disappointed with the Song Library interface

I'd forgotten they added some Harry Connick, Jr. videos in the early Rookie. They do have some glitch noises that sound a lot like bit rate conversion artifacts. This might be something you can report to the support team (support@playgroundsessions.com) for them to look at. They might want to remast...

Re: Yamaha P125 to iPad connection?

You should access to any exercise at any time. You do have to be connected fairly continuously to the Internet for Playground to update the checkmarks on some of the lessons, and potentially select the next lesson in the book camp/tour to see the check mark on the previous lesson update. It's a weir...

Re: Extremely disappointed with the Song Library interface

I've only been on for a few weeks or so and have only noticed a few annoying things so far that I have worked through. The software crashes if you have another program open that is using the midi. There should be an error message that states another program is using it. Not a big deal once you disc...

Re: FINGERING VS LETTER OF NOTE NOTATIONS

Don't feel useless Westman77. It takes time and practice. It is easy for people to forget that. The only person you are racing is yourself, and even that isn't necessary. You do want to push yourself to do something you haven't be able to before, but you don't have to be able to immediately. So, one...
