Re: Learning piano without vocal melody
You can run the original song through https://splitter.ai to extract the vocals out. Then use something like Audacity to merge the vocal track with Playground Session's .ogg file. This has worked great for me on a few songs (Habits and Never Be The Same) and not so great on others. The songs it's no...

Re: Considering a Yamaha P-125 with stand/pedals as starter
I'd recommend wall mounting a TV or Monitor to the wall in front of the stand. One that can go side to side AND up and down. It should also swivel clockwise/counter clock wise in case you don't mount the monitor 100% level. I would get a different stand. Probably a dual keyboard stand like this: htt...

Re: PlaygroundSessions on Linux
The program itself has not been updated in years. I would try closing PGS and try to download the lesson at a later time. Unless the PGS backend for retrieving songs, lessons, etc has been modified. I'm pretty sure the 2032 error is a generic connection related error to their servers. It was bad a c...

Re: Allow us to add Annotations to Sheet Music
If you want to manually edit the score to add your personal notes, read this post I made awhile back: https://forums.playgroundsessions.com/viewtopic.php?t=18695 It shows that words and finger numbers/letters can be added/subtracted and moved up and down by modifying the score's XML file. You can ev...

Re: Grading Question
Holds aren't graded. They are either hit, missed, or pressed late. There are 4 colors to adjust. I have mine set for: Correctly Played: Green Missed: Purple Wrong note: Red Played late but correct: Pink <-- This is the one I adjusted. I think by default it was Red which doesn't give very good feedba...

Re: new version 2020
Every once in a while an old song I have will have an update. I wish they'd at least hype those changes or release more information on what changed in the song.

It's currently in the internal testing phase. I've been receiving emails about new versions every day. Will be released soon! Andrew Are there any pictures, features, news you can share with us on the forum? Something to build hype or are we gonna log in one day and the app will prompt us to update...

Re: PS just to play songs?
I completed the rookie bootcamp and all the rookie courses months ago. I'm halfway through the intermediate bootcamp. Intermediate is tough because you're expected to read and play quickly and my sight reading/coordination can't keep up with the program. I'm quite stumped. I've been learning rookie...

Re: PS just to play songs?
I use it to play songs only. Learning the songs is quick because the score is numbered, the metronome is great, and song speed can be adjusted. If you are taking 3 plus months to learn a piece, I'd recommend learning easier songs to keep the progress flowing. Having a larger repertoire should make l...
