Re: iPad Bluetooth connection

Yamaha has a Bluetooth connector, but I don't know if the P-115 is compatible with it. I should buy one to see if my ancient YPG-635 will work with it. But I'm not wealthy enough for the experiment if it doesn't work. However! On the iPad, you can get a "Camera Connection Kit" that includes ...

Re: Keyboard recommendations

Good deal! I've had my YPG-635 for a few years now - I bought it in March 2010 and still enjoy it. I probably won't upgrade unless I'm going for the better key action. The DGX-660 is really nice, but not enough better to get me to get one. Your opinion of your keyboard, like mine of mine, is the mos...

Re: Note Site Reading and finger numbers

I like the idea, Laurensss, of having the finger numbers only at the position changes as an option. You can start at the current full numbering until you can play it through, then note when the position changes, then without any number at all - switching to the lettering, and then just the standard ...

Re: Game themes

I do love the Skyrim theme. I bought the sound track :D There are a number of video games with excellent music. It might even be fun to go back to some "ancient" 8-Bit games with the vintage 8-bit sound... The Sierra Games "Space Quest" and "Police Quest" come to mind as having great music. Ul...

Re: What's good everyone

Hello Brooklyn80s, Welcome to Playground Sessions! The desire to play music for yourself is one that will stick with you. There are a few of us here that didn't get around to lessons until much later in our lives. I had a few piano lessons in the early 70s. I had some accordion lessons before that.....

Re: Progress Report! Sw1tch73ch

A quick update. Only because our hands have five fingers... I just made level 25. I like numbers that end in 5 and 0 for use as milestones. I've been going through completed lessons, refreshing the things we learn from them. I was especially inspired by all the updates to the videos and some of the ...

Re: Timing and Rhythm

You can have the lesson play for you. You won't get practice points. Look for the little left and right hands at the top left of the lesson. Click them to tell the app to play that hand for you. Click each of them to play both parts. That way you can hear the tempo of the piece.

Re: Problem playing Bootcamp video's

Which version is your install? I just reinstalled because of troubles with the videos. The new install is 2.4.395. I think I was using 2.4.355 before. (Typing these from memory so I may have misremembered the exact numbering).

Re: Cramped leg room with Yamaha P115?

I don't know a solution. I use an adjustable height chair to get my arms to the right position and I find my legs are right against the bottom of the keyboard too.

Re: Backwards key

Hello Brewster. That is one of the short comings of the forum from the app. I use a web browser to "surf" the forum. I've noted the same troubles with trying to go back while in the app. However, you are in the correct place for introducing yourself! So let's hear how you found Playground Sessions, ...
