Re: Keyboard shortcuts not working

As a Command Line Interface junkie from way back, I do occasionally try to press enter to dismiss a dialog - only to remember the mouse is needed. So an "Enter" or "Escape" to close a dialog would be helpful, indeed.

Re: Is this site for me?

I'd say Playground Sessions is geared heavily toward Sight Reading and familiarity with the piano keyboard. Some of this will help with "jamming" sessions, but you may want to explore composition and the related music theory around that. So the program would help a little, in that you become much mo...

Rookie O Holy Night first step in lesson

In the first step of the Rookie Level "O Holy Night" there are only rests. Because no notes are played, this step of the lesson can never be scored. Is this step necessary? The song will never show all the steps completed.

Re: accompaniment won't work

Shooting in the dark here, but could you have accidentally turned off the accompaniment in the options? Or turned their volume down - or even switched away from the audio output they are pointed at?

Re: Skipping lessons okay?

Try switching to another lesson to see if that "completes" the lesson you just finished. As apol0 the point is to learn. If you already know it, you aren't learning. I've worked my way through all the steps so far, so I really don't know if you get a complete for just playing the final challenges to...

Re: New guy

My goal is an hour a day, but with a flexible schedule depending on the lessons I'm currently working on. Sometimes I'm mentally or physically taxed by the particular lessons. Those days I try to make sure I get at least 30 minutes. But that doesn't mean I'm only spending thirty minutes in the progr...

Wow, what a step up from the MD-1160!

That's an impressive keyboard, the PSR-S770.

Enjoy!

Re: a newbie

Hi JigglyPuffer! I think you'll find Playground Sessions an exciting way to learn to play on the keyboard. It will challenge you, so you will need to practice your patience, persistence and perseverance. I say it's all about the three P's. Wait, no, not those P's... I mean Practice, Practice, Practi...
