Change mix / master volume on the fly

Hi, Currently you can't adjust the volume and hear the change but rather you need to pause the audio and restart it to hear the effect. It would be much better if the audio mix menu was interactive and you could hear the volume changes. Frankly, I can never get it the way I want and have to settle o...

Re-enter loop without count

I spend most of my time looping, even in boot camp lessons. Sometimes, I need the count before entering the loop for the pause to let things settle in. Then I get to a point where I almost have it down but it's not perfect and I want to start the phrase over, in time, without a pause. It be nice to ...

Re: MIDI thru USB

I'm a novice but I don't understand why you would need to move the 88 key to the synth when using the DAW. You'll lose the ability to trigger the synth from the 88 key, but you should be able to assign any sound you want to the 88 KB in the DAW. You may want to change the midi channel assignment so ...

Re: Bootcamp Intermediate 19- D Major Triads is difficult!

Doozer, Are you still playing? I just started 19 about a week ago. I stopped doing lessons in a linear fashion a few weeks ago, so I work on different things at the same time. I haven't gotten to the challenge yet, but I think it's a really important lesson. These are really important chord progress...

Re: More shortcuts

Hitting the lowest and highest keys simultaneously generally starts or stops any lesson. I'm pretty sure it starts the next lesson after hitting any 'D'. Unfortunately, that shortcut requires you to position both hands during the count, rather than just the one when using the mouse. Having said that...

Re: Problem with "Let it Be" (Intermediate)

Thank you. That's what I've been trying to do. Otherwise 'Let it Be' is probably one of the easiest intermediate songs, which is why I tried to learn it as soon as I got to triads and inversions but playing the left hand like that adds a bit more complexity to the piece. Not overwhelming but it stil...

Problem with "Let it Be" (Intermediate)

It's not a boot camp lesson but I didn't know where to post. In the second measure of the 1st section you are playing a C/G with the left hand which places the E (E4?) at the top. The right hand is playing the melody which has an E (E4?) being played by the R thumb but that note is being held by the...

Re: Rookie Bootcamp 66: Story of my life

Thank you. It took a few days but playing up on the keys doesn't feel as crowded as it did early on.

Re: Backing track at any tempo

It's hard to imagine the issue is processing power. Desktops passed the threshold for real time audio processing by the mid 90s. I can imagine there are other issues but I would think even a mid-range tablet or phone would have the raw processing power.

Re: Backing track at any tempo

They don't need to have separate audio files for every tempo. You can change the tempo without the changing the pitch, you can change the pitch or key without changing the tempo, or any combination of the two in the digital realm. The program I mentioned, Transcribe!, is one of several and can even ...
