piano as played in the original song

Post by izazou » Fri Oct 01, 2021 9:02 am

Hello,
I noticed that all the songs that can be learned with the Playground Sessions platform actually play the "singing" part of the songs, and not the piano part that accompanies it. Now, since I would like to sing while playing, how can I find songs in the Song store that do not include the "voice" part of the song, but the piano as played in the original song?
Thank you for your help!

Hello izazou,

For the most part, the music in the song store the melody(the singing part) is played with the right hand. The melody is harmonized with the left hand(the piano part) through notes, chords and other things.

At the moment, PGS is not a singing app or a "help me perform better with my band" app. It is an app that teaches beginners how to play piano and enough music theory that you can master any song in the song store.

It might be a good idea to first go through the PGS curriculum beginning to end. If you are successful with that, you will be well prepared to start singing the melody along with playing with both hands.

If you can't wait, you can always use the ancient technology (paper sheet music) and play/sing outside of the app.

Good luck.
