Recording your performance

Post by apavloff » Mon Feb 06, 2017 2:40 pm

Is there a way record your performance to your PC and copy that file out to a USB or email it out? I have a Yamaha keyboard that will let me record my performance on the keyboard but there isn't anyway to get it out to a file to my PC. I looked thru the manual and this forum and didn't find anything. I have family and friends that are not nearby that would like to hear my performances. Anybody have any ideas?

Hi apavloff,

You can record your performances in the lesson player. Click the microphone in the toolbar before you play. It is located next to the metronome. A WAV file will save to your computer after you play the song.

Hi apavloff!

I'm curious which keyboard you have. Yamaha has a Music Downloader tool that lets you move files between your keyboard and your computer. Of course it only works with some of their keyboards.

I haven't tried the Recorder function in Playground Sessions, but that really sounds like a great utility.
