Learning new songs in stages

Post by Kobinabam » Mon Jul 08, 2019 2:10 pm

Hi there, first post. Do you learn several rookie songs before moving to intermediate, or do you take each songs and learn all the stages?
Thanks

I would definitely learn a handful of rookie songs first before trying intermediate.

It might not seem this way, but intermediate can really be much harder than rookie, and advanced is even harder than that. The new skills required for each level might creep up on you.

Even at the rookie level, each song is unique. Different rhythms, hand positions, key signs, etc. Plenty to learn!

Hi,
Thank you very much for your response. I went through the whole of rookie and intermediate without learning any of the songs! I an now remedying that by learning a host of beginner songs, basically all the ones with video tutorials and then will move on to intermediate songs after that.
Thanks again
