Simplistic melodies

Looking to see if it's just me or if others have the same opinion. I find the arrangement of many (most) of the songs that have a simplistic single note melody (that mirrors the vocal) to be unappealing. I get excited when a new song pops up and then listen to the preview and find myself disappointed. I signed up for a lifetime subscription when Harry C Jr. lent his name to the product in the hopes there would be some more engaging arrangements.

Curious if anyone else feels the same way?
