Points vs Badges vs Levels

Hi, could someone please give me some background on how Points, Badges/Levels and bootcamp progression is related?

For example: I have the Crescendo Level 5 badge, 2400 points and have just started on the Intermediate Bootcamp.
Is this a reasonable time to start Intermediate, or should I master a few more Rookie-songs first?

Thanks,
Karl Ivar

Points are calculated based on how you improve on each practice exercise. For the first exercise you always get 2 points, but from there your points are calculated based on whether you improved from you last try and if so, how much you improved. The level of the exercise (Rookie, Intermediate, Advanced) as well as tempo also plays a part in the # of points you receive from each attempt. You'll also get practice points, 1 point per minute, for either watching a video or playing.

Levels are based off of your total points. As you reach certain milestones with points you'll reach a new level.

You'll also receive a Badge every time you advance to a new level. A lot of badges are not related to your level, but instead, to specific tasks such as playing with both hands together and receiving a good score or getting 4 or 5 stars when you play a full song in performance mode.

Over the next few months we'll be improving our scores, points, progress and badge system so that these things are more transparent to our users.

Also, the timing of when you move to Intermediate level songs and Bootcamps is totally up to you. We have a lot of users that almost immediately jump into Intermediate songs because they want the extra challenge. The biggest difference with Intermediate is going to be in the left hand where you play chords. We recommend you start with Intermediate "Easy" songs before jumping into Intermediate "Moderate" or Intermediate "Hard." Of course, if you are struggling you can always jump back into more Rookie songs until you're ready to give Intermediate another try!

Thanks for giving this useful information to get started.
I just want to ask one more thing that when we start, is there any initial badges allotted to us or we have to start from zero. Please reply
Thanks in advance.

When you first begin, you won't have any badges. You'll start from zero.
