scoring

I feel that if you have half of the notes green in any bootcamp lesson the score should reflect 50% correct, and so on. Is this the case? It doesn't seem so to me

Hey Kewel,

We have 4 types of notes in scoring:

Correct Notes (Green)

The correct note hit at the correct time.

Close Notes (Pink)

The correct note hit at almost the correct time.

Missed Notes (Red)

Note that the user failed to play in a reasonable time to mark as close or correct.

Extraneous Notes (Red)

Extra notes that were played, could be the wrong key(pitch) or just a extra note. These notes are not in the sheet music.

We add up all the notes in the sheet music piece, then add in extraneous notes. So if the piece of music has 50 notes, and you played 10 extraneous notes, then the total notes is 60. Let's say you got 25 green notes. So we take 25/60, and you get 41.6% accuracy, not 50%.

Hope this helps!
