Chord changing

I watched the video lessons in the Chords Practice - Triads course. When he changes chord sometimes he lifts his hand on beat 4 sometimes after beat 4 (like the last "and" in "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and"). When should I lift my hand off the keys when changing chord or it doesn't really matter.

As late as possible. If you're using the sustain pedal, it doesn't really matter.
