Keyboard set up not saving

Hi there
Every time I start the application, I have to setup a generic un-named keyboard. Why does it not recgonize the connect keyboard ? It is one from your store lol? I go in and follow prompts to identify it as 76 key keyboard. I am using a surface pro 4. I disconnect it every time when I am done for the day
