scoring questions

Post by dancindoll511 » Sat Aug 29, 2020 5:14 pm

Hello!
Today is my first day and I am a little confused. Even though I play all green notes I am still not getting 100 percent.
Also I get this red sharp sign with a dot on second line everytime. What does that mean?
Thanks!

Red means you did something wrong on the piano keyboard.

Hard to help you as we don't have any idea what you were doing. Try getting a screenshot and attach to this thread and we'll be able to help you.

Hi dancindoll511!

The dotted red sharp symbol means you played a sharp when it should have been something else (and that your timing of playing that sharp was a half note too early or too late depending where the red sharp is marked relative to the correct note that should have been played). Where the red sharp symbol is marked on the sheet, it will tell you which sharp you played. You will definitely want to get yourself familiar with reading the errors on your sheet so you can best resolve and improve your playing as you learn.

Hope this helps! I wish all the best on your journey!
