Bootcamp Rookie Lesson 14 - Intro to Notation Part 1

first let me say what fun i am having with PGS - i was given the subscription as an XMAS gift and have spent the past 4 weeks piling through the Rookie Bootcamp.

I have just one piece of feedback regarding some of the lessons, specifically lesson 14 - intro to notation part 1 - the practice element combines elements of a song, with some scales and other practices and it is very hard (at Rookie) level to achieve 100% on this excercise - and to be honest, it is really several disparate excercises rolled into 1 piece.

given i have 100% on all other elements of Rookie, I am disappointed that i cannot complete this one at 100%, even though i am now 30% way through Intermediate as well.

not sure what the fix is - perhaps split into some separate pieces, or allow a pause as the user is playing so that they can pause between the elements and still get 100%.

We completely agree with you. Over the weekend we removed that exercise. Is it still showing up in your tour?

Thanks for the reply David - yes it is still there. Any way to force an update?

Also something else strange - Lesson 9 - Five Finger Position on E - now shows in the Library overview as 1 of 8 completed, but when you go into that lesson, all excercises are at 100%....

I've noticed that ťoo. In addition, I'm not getting the pie chart for a score so I can repeat or move on. I tried to update but it says I'm current. I'm so confused.

Try doing this to remove that exercise:

1. In the app, go to Edit > Manage My Lessons
2. Find "Intro To Staff Notation 1", click on it, then click on the "Uninstall Lesson" button.
3. After uninstalling, then click on the "Install Lesson" button.

Try opening the lesson after doing this and see if the exercise is removed.

Try this same process for the 5-finger position on E exercise also.

Thanks David - interestingly when i just logged in, the Lesson 14 was gone, so ok there.
for the 5-finger position on E one, i followed your advice, and then re-did the lesson, so all Rookie lessons now at 100%!
