Using Chordify.net

Post by Kendrick » Tue May 10, 2016 2:41 pm

Hey guys. I'm teaching my friend how to play piano and I thought that using this platform would be a good idea since I've read so many positive reviews about Playground Sessions.

Anyhow, I've been playing piano for 20+ years with lessons and I thought I could offer up some advice. When you've learned basic chords, go to https://chordify.net/ (register... yeah, I hate registering for new accounts as well), and paste a LIVE ACOUSTIC version of a song you enjoy. Try and find a Coldplay/similar pop song that has an ACOUSTIC PIANO version. Once you do that, past the link into Chordify.net and play the song/sing along. You will notice that the pros don't have that computer rhythm and use a little more feeling/emotion to play their notes.

Also, as for beginners, I usually tell my friends to play SOFTLY. Anybody can slam the piano keys loudly, but it's a lot more difficult to play the piano SOFTLY with control. It's good to get into the habit of playing softly during the BOOTCAMP.

Hope the advice helps.
