audio mixing

Hi, is there possible to hear the audio using a headphone that connected into a keyboard (Kawai es100) while at the same time listen to the instruction from the video using the same headphone? (I know we can do this by connecting headphone to MacBook directly, but I want the same exact sound that came out from keyboard)
Some friend is telling me to use a line in connection, but I can't do that since Kawai es100 don't have a line-in connection.
I read online forum people mention about audio mixer cable or something that can connect to MacBook audio port and keyboard audio port while having one output into the headphone. Will this work?
Other people mention that sound would be low if using this type of cable and I should use a mixer instead. Is that true?

please, some recommendation on best setup possible. thanks
