My keyboard has a USB port and a microphone jack, and my laptop has USB, HDMI and some square port, plus the headphone jack. I have no MIDI port anywhere. Will I be unable to use this program? I've tried an aux cable and a printer cable to no avail. I do not know what I am doing.
Would I be able to use a USB to USB cable, or am I just out of luck?

Re: Unable to connect keyboard to laptop
The printer cable will work.
The keyboard's USB port must be square, or USB B. It might say USB to Host near it.
The Laptop's USB port should be USB A by default, rectangular.
Connecting the two parts with a printer cable will do the job. However, problems can still happen, as it sounds like here. Please email support@playgroundsessions.com so I can help you troubleshoot there. It is often easier.
