Capability to print purchased songs without the fingering numbers

There is already so much writing on sheet music that it would be nice to have the option to turn off the fingering notation when you print. This feature is available when you practice the song but not when you want to print it out.

This is something we might include in future versions of the app, although I cannot say when. It is not a high priority right now.

I am at the point where the fingerings are just hindering my progress. I would love it if I could print without the fingerings. I am really surprised that that is not an option. There are a few other users who have posted about this over the last year and a half. Maybe it should be more of a priority. Someone suggested using white out so I guess I'm gonna go get some white out until I can print without the training wheels...

I would like to have the ability to print 'my' songs with either numbers or note names. As a beginner, I think having both versions printed would be a great boost to my understanding.

Thank you for all you do for us.

Regards,

Stover

Thanks!

Like Thomas said, unfortunately, it's not a high priority right now, but you're right, moving forward, it probably wouldn't be too hard with new arrangements. The issue then is, updating the pre-existing library to have that feature. That would probably mean generating new PDF's of all the files, which would mean editing the Sibelius files, etc. (I think it's easier to remove fingerings in the app than on a printable PDF) Otherwise, we'd have a confusing library in which not all the arrangements have the same features.

Regardless, thanks for expressing your concern, and I'll keep it in mind.

Andrew

This should be obvious but please don't distribute any material you obtain with the method below. Like paper prints (or pdf prints) these are only for your own study purposes.

You can use an application like pdfelement (this runs on a Mac, there may be options for Windows?) to remove (part of) the fingering from a score. You print it to pdf first, then edit the pdf in this application.

You can usually drag-select a lot of numbers at once, then simply delete them. If you have trouble making the selection you may first have to delete one or two full-page transparent boxes overlaid on the page. If there are too many other elements in the way you may have to individually select, then delete the numbers.

Not the most fun job in the world but the fastest option I think.
