More piano key shortcuts

Post by elgar22 » Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:38 pm

While in practice mode you have set note C to try again and note D as next part which works from the piano. Could you add some more shortcuts such as play/start or back to the beginning. When I use my piano it goes on my desk in front of my desktop computer. At the moment I have to reach over a fair way to my computer keyboard, it would be so convenient to have a key on the piano which would do these extra tasks.

Thank you.

Thanks for your input. We will be rolling out more keyboard shortcuts very soon.

You know what would be cool? User defined shortcuts. So if I want to replay the current lesson, I could choose my own keyboard shortcut. Maybe I would have it be A#B, or whatever makes sense to the user. Same with next lesson, go back a lesson.

While I'm compiling my Christmas list, I'd like the speed slider to be controllable on the keyboard as well, because I use the slider A LOT. Maybe holding down a very low key and tapping a high key to move down, and a slightly higher key to move up.

Any opportunity to keep your hands on the piano keys and off the mouse or computer keyboard would greatly speed things up.

That's a great idea! I'll forward that to our team.

I'd like a "play again 5bpm slower" key.

I agree. More shortcuts would be awesome. I'd like to be able to do everything I need to from the keyboard while in the bootcamp lessons.

Any progress on this? A keyboard shortcut for "play" would be particularly handy!

Hi lizbot, I found out by accident that the extreme upper and lower C keys pressed together (on a Keystation 49) will start / stop the excercise on Mac. No such luck on the iPad, though!

On the Mac you can also press the space bar on the (computer) keyboard to start / stop, an option which is not available on the iPad so please PS: implement this same shortcut for the tablet version :)

Also, some documentation on these details would be very nice to have. Thanks!

Update: on my new 88 key piano I have to press the C keys 2 octaves up and down from central C to start/ stop the lesson. So the C keys 4 octaves apart.
