Hello everyone. I have the iPad app and love it. I downloaded the rookie song "lean on me." The problem is I only see the even practice numbers. So I only have half the lesson. Is there a reason for this??

I've tried using the recommended "Host to USB" cable to a "USB to lightning adapter that the email you sent me suggested. The App won't recognize the notes played on my keyboard and turns the note on the IPad screen red as though I played the incorrect middle C. I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you!!!
Got it.

When you connect to the iPad, do you notice anything popping up that says you're connected? When you play any keys, do you get sound coming out of your iPad?
I am having this same issue and the settings in the app show it is connected and if i turn the keyboard off it gives me a message saying it is disconnected and when i turn it back on the ipad app says it is connected. My keyboard also has a keyboard out setting which I made sure was on, though I also tried with it off. When I play keys no sound comes from my iPad though other sounds like playing a key on the onscreen keyboard or the music that plays along with the practice do. And when playing the practice it always shows the notes as red and gives me a score of 0%.
Are you using a MIDI to USB cable?

Our iPad doesn't currently have our video lessons (which would be the odd numbered lessons). Once the videos have been added, you'll see the odd numbered lessons appear as well.

Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to post a quick update. We are going to be submitting an update for iPad next week that includes a new video player. The main functionality for videos is complete, just cleaning up some minor UI things before submitting to Apple for approval. The iPad has always been presented as a Beta, it is purely supplementary at the moment. We will be continuing to make progress on it, as we know there is lots of progress to be made. I wouldn't suggest anybody use an iPad as their only Playground system. It's good for practicing, but you'll miss out on some key features at the moment. We still have quite a few features like progress charts, song store, badges, as well as quite a few configuration screens.

I also wanted to say that one of our biggest goals has been to work great on as many systems as we can. We know that our users use so many different kinds of hardware setups and operating systems. This has not been an easy goal, trying to support XP, Snow Leopard, and at the same time making steady progress on new systems like iPad and Android has stretched our dev team quite thin over the last year. Great news though is we are expanding the team which will allow us to give greater focus on each system.

We are going to be launching an Android beta later today, it will have video player support. Might sound a little absurd that Android will have video before iPad, but all iPad versions have to be submitted to Apple for approval, which can be very quick (1 day) or even can take a few days. Android we are able to just create a new build and make it live right away.

Awesome news. Of all the missing features on the iPad, this is the most important in the near term.

Did you say Linux? LOL - Just teasing, though this would be pretty cool, too.

Excellent! I will have to give this a try later on. How many times can we update our "authorized" computers? I may switch between Android and iPad to see which gives the best results. I will be keeping my Windows PC as the primary, however. As long as Microsoft doesn't tank my Windows 7 system with a bad security patch. I just got one that popped up a notice that Windows 7 is obsolete.... well, if Windows 10 actually ran well on that hardware I might consider it... but it doesn't so Windows 7 is there to stay.

We've been known to bend the device limit rule for active users who are willing to test things out early. Just email support@playgroundsessions.com with your playground username, and ask them to increase your device limit so you can test out Android.

I'm trying out Ipad Air 2. I added the app and bought a lightning connector to connect to a printer cable for a Casio PX760 with a USB B. A few differences, a laptop setup sees all 88 keys on my keyboard, With the Ipad you have to select your number of keys and the max is only 85! I'm on the 52nd lesson rookie tour. You can't do the looping to isolate a section to play. I do like the way the last 4 measures seem to jump up compared to the laptop version.

Music to my ears.

My practice has been on hold because my iPad Air 2 is my only PS device. The limited function of the beta became an unbearable challenge for me.

I eagerly await a fresh 'production' release so I can get going again.

Can you please post information about UPDATES to the iPad version to the iPad update forum? Its hard to have to search for it thru 3 pages of replys to an unrelated question. Thanks

Hello,

I am brand new to Playground Sessions and am about to get started. There is no room for me to set up my laptop by my keyboard therefore I will be limited to the iPad for practicing. I see there are a few features I will miss out on. What are configuration screens and looping? Those are the two things it appears I will miss out on that I did not fully understand their definition.

I still have my laptop so I can access PS for other facets such as the store. Will I also miss out on the opportunity to earn badges and use progress charts since I will be practicing with the iPad and not with the laptop even though I will still access the laptop away from my keyboard?

Thank you so much, excited to get started!
