Spread Chord Voicings

Post by Swampfox » Mon Nov 18, 2019 9:13 pm

Are there any plans to extend the Chord lessons to cover two handed spread voicings, extended chords, or altered chords?

This is great request and has been something we've been thinking about.

I'll pass it on.

Thank you. I love the Triad exercises. I run through 7 or 8 of the challenges everyday as a left hand warm up. It's really helped my playing. I guess i should finish out the stragglers. :D I think it would really help me bring my playing to the next level to have similar exercises with spread voicings (including inversions) of Dom7 and Minor 7s as the next step.

Yep. Simple Dom7 voicings (1,3,5,7) and then spread ones between both hands - 1,7,3,13,9 (!!!)

Could be fun.

Oh, yes please! I would love exercises with chords spread over two hands! Extensions, too!

That'd be great, as I definitely need to practice that! Plus, I'll definitely need something creative and fun to work on in early January, as I'll be spending most of the day writing about how 2020 went for Berlin real estate...
