Issue with Midi Keyboard - strange 1st note

hi there
one thing i have noticed is that when playing practice pieces, as the start of the piece, when i play the first note, PGS always recognises this as the wrong note. Very frustrating when closing in on 100% for a practice....

This happens 50% of the times i setup to practice, and does not make any difference whether i have the midi keyboard connected before i start PGS or after i start. I have to exit PGS one or more times to get this issue to go away.

the Keyboard is an Alesis V61, which PGS recognises and allows me to callibrate just fine.

Any thoughts?
