Hi,

We just tested this and some other songs but we couldn't replicate the issue. Are you still experiencing it?

Random Note bug

Post by graeme » Mon Feb 29, 2016 5:32 pm

This is also hapening to me every lesson, on every song, every time. Spurious notes would show up so high up or so low down the scale, that the note doesn't even exist on my 61 key piano(Yamaha PSR-282). It also thinks im playing chords when im not playing any notes.

I have tried restarting the PC, switching off the piano, unplugging the midi wire and starting from scratch..... No luck im affraid, it still does it.

This is a very serious bug and im thinking of unsubscribing and trying Piano Marvel instead to see if I can learn better with them.

I really hope you can sort this bug once and for all..

Regards
Graeme

Well I've percivered as long as I could and am still plagued with this note error bug so Im off to try Piano Marvel. I have unsubscribed so Im not paying a premium for this poor service, I wasnt even given the courtasy of support or assistance despite trying.

Its a nice site you have here but its a pitty about the buggy software.

...ups double post...

Hi,
I had the exact same problem when I used a cheap (chinese) USB MIDI cable.
But when I changed it to a quality brand Roland UM-ONE midi adapter, the first note problem disappeared.
Hope it works for you.

Hi,
I had the exact same problem.
It turned out to be me cheep Chinese MIDI USB cable that was the culprit.
When I bought a quality brand Roland UM-ONE midi adapter instead the first note problem disappeared all together.
All the best,
Tao

That's good to know! Maybe the solution is to test another cable.

I have experienced this as well.

For me it seems to save notes played while the piece is at some point paused, and they appear when the piece is restarted each time thereafter. They still will show up if I restart the piece without the midi controller connected.
