Settings not available.

I have problems with the "settings" window on Mac.
All the dropdown menus are blank, so I can't choose audio output and stuff.
I log in as usual when the app starts and all my lessons and achievements works, but the "settings" page tells me to "become a member"

Anyone else with this problem?

Hello,

Please also go to Help -> Report an Issue in the Playground app. This sends us a error/debug log so we can diagnose what's happening.

I sent a screenshot and have a case #8096 that hasn't been solved yet.
I have tried different ways of doing a complete reinstall but the problem is still there:(

I'll do the report thing to send you a log file.

As soon as the video lessons comes to the ipad, I will no longer need the desktop version.

I tried to "report an issue" to generate a log file for you but I get error #2038 when trying.

I have attached screenshots.

I have the same problem, and i can't adjust the audio volume. It doesn't save the settings.
Nor does the midi keyboard drop down menu list my device. But i can play my keyboard just fine.

Just want to add that this isn't a universal problem. I'm running Sierra 10.12.6 on a Macbook Pro 17" and have no problems accessing those settings dialogs. When I start up Playground the login screen comes prefilled with my user name and password. I can send midi to the Mac and select my Korg as the sound source to send accompaniment via the keyboard speakers.

OS Error 2038 is commonly an installed application issue or a preference file issue. I suggest removing both the Playground application and all associated preference files and redownloading and installing (preferably after running Disk Utility - or DiskWarrior if you have that, to check for bad blocks on your disk). That would include both the application itself (in /Applications), ~/Library/Preferences/Playground.plist, and the contents of ~/Library/Containers/Playground.

You might also get some further information if you open the Console app (in /Applications/Utilities) to check for anything Playground related in the system error logs while you reproduce the error.

Hey all,

This issue has been corrected. You just need to add your first and last name from your account page on our website. That should fix it. Try it if you are still encountering this problem. If the problem persists, shoot an email to support@playgroundsessions.com
