At what point should I get my first song?

Post by rj3711 » Sat Nov 23, 2019 4:58 pm

I'm working my way through the rookie bootcamp. I'm extremely familiar with the treble clef....not so much with base clef or playing 2 hands, but can play a simple melody with my right hand even before starting playground sessions. I'm wondering at what point do people start purchasing songs? Do most people try to get through most of the rookie bootcamp? Do some people start their first song after completing a certain number of lessons? I know there are some Rookie-easy songs out there as well that don't look too hard to start with.

Rookie easy songs are great to start with right away! Rookie easy is just one hand at a time - melody only.

Once you do a couple of those, try rookie - moderate. You don't have to finish the bootcamp before you start learning songs!
