Hello from Yorkshire, England

Post by MarkG » Sun Apr 07, 2019 3:08 am

Hi, Mark here, middle-age guy who has been wanting to learn the piano/keyboard on and off for many years but never really got much beyond the basics. Stumbled across Playground whilst looking on-line for inspiration and took the plunge with an annual membership. Steadily working through Rookie level to pull together what I have learned over the years and try to make some real progress! Up to Level 17 now and enjoying the journey!
Have always focused on learning keyboard rather than piano skills ie melody with right hand, chords with left but want to crack two-handed piano - still struggling a bit with hand co-ordination but getting there!
Playground is really helping with music theory and making a real difference to my timing/rhythmn, which have always been a bit hit and miss - usually relying on well-known songs where I know how it should sound rather than reading from the music.
Big fan of the Playground approach, with no end of graded songs, courses and practice to go at - spoiled for choice when it comes to practice sessions. The interactive keyboard alongside much repetition until I reach 100% at each step is definitely what I need.
Been watching the forums/social media posts and great to see and hear how others are getting on - helps a lot!

Hello Mark, and welcome!

The app really does work. You put in the time and practice and it guides you to success. It has definitely helped me.
